Feeling a bit owlish?

What does that expression mean anyway? Does anyone say something like that? Why do we only go about anthropomorphizing some animals? Ask someone if they are feeling mollusky and they'll just look at you funny.

There's something about the juncture of the eyes, nose and brow that reminds me of Pennsylvania Dutch Hex Signs.
